The final projects for MEDIACOM 2600B: Introduction to Graphic Design continued the creative process of producing media by hand to be transferred to digital designs for skateboard decks.
Before any media could be put into digital software, they had to create everything by hand. Including typography and print! Students brought many mixed methods to their projects, from finger painting and clay models to recycled office materials and hand sketches.

This course is an introduction to Graphic design based on real-world applications. Early stages of visual literacy, including Space & layout, Line, Shape, Texture, Value/Tone, Colour/Hue, Balance, Typography, etc. will be examined. Image making, illustration and digital artwork will be explored with a higher level of expectations.
